Breaking Business barriers, facilitating Industrialization, Export promotion and Local trading in Uganda

Uganda Business Community Cooperative is a member based Business Community Cooperative that has been setup to bring together all businesses in Uganda primarily to support those that are into exports, agri-business, value addition, leather, textiles, and electronics by Firstly, raising awareness about critical areas of production and standards and secondly to support members financially so they can produce and supply quality products.

UBCC wants to onboard 5 million members of the Business Community in 5 years. Recognizing the importance of manufacturing, value addition and export trade as a major component of Uganda’s economic development and a particularly important avenue for poverty alleviation with a strong gender impact, UBCC engages different stakeholders to align this cluster of trade with trade‑related policies and other existing Government policies focusing on a market‑led approach to support businesses and create employment opportunities for millions of youth whom politicians would otherwise use in subversive and/or anti-Government protests.
